He was named to the All-Big East Second Team in 2006 along with teammate Jeff Green.
Despite declaring his eligibility in the 2007 Draft, he changed his mind and finished his senior year at Georgetown.
He was the starting center on the U.S. squad at the Pan-American Games.
During those games, he was chosen to represent Jamaica because of his ancestral roots.
