The Resume

    (2003-2004)
Born in Folkestone, England, United Kingdom
Left to right: Lucy Meggitt, Martin Rycroft, and Ria Scott
Singles include ‘Fast Food Song,’ ‘Say Cheese (Smile Please)’ and ‘I Love Christmas’

Why they might be annoying:

They claimed to have met at a fast-food convention.
‘McDonalds, McDonalds, Kentucky Fried Chicken and a Pizza Hut!’ Just try and get that hook out of your brain.
Their label axed them over the failure of… their Christmas single (which peaked at #25)!
They experienced a Milli Vanilli-worthy backlash in the press.
Their fan base suggested that the name of the group, rather than the content of the material, brought them down.

Why they might not be annoying:

The color scheme of their costumes matches that of Superman.
Their mascot was a large blue dog named… Hot Dog.
Fast Food Song managed to finish behind only Evanescence on the UK pop chart (June 2003); Say Cheese was able to dent the top 10.
They didn’t have much trouble finding and holding gainful employment outside the industry.
They predated Katy Perry's signature candyfloss-innuendo mix by a good few years.
