In the wake of LeBron James's arrival to the Heat, he defended the ballyhooed media circus saying that the team was 'Not meant to fly under the radar.'
He resembles CNN's health correspondent <23307Sanjay Gupta.
Why he might not be annoying
His father managed various sports teams.
He commended Dwyane Wade's shooting balance and performace resulting from Wade's experience at the 2004 Athens Summer Olympics.
When outoging Heat coach Pat Riley chose him as the successor, he said, '
'This game is now about younger coaches who are technologically skilled, innovative and bring fresh new ideas. That's what we feel we are getting with Erik Spoelstra. He's a man that was born to coach.'
He became the first person of Filipino descent to coach a major professional sports team in North America.
