Hockey Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He played only 14 games with the Penguins in three seasons combined.
He was traded by the Penguins in a salary-cap move, in order for the team to orchestrate a second trade to acquire Jamie Oleksiak.
He underperformed with the Coyotes, which led to him not being given a qualifying offer.
His tenure with the Oilers was remembered for him being the lone unvaccinated player to play for a Canadian NHL franchise.
In a cruel irony, he contracted COVID-19 a week after he stated his intentions not to get vaccinated.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the son of former Minnesota North Stars forward Jim Archibald.
He was born to a Canadian father and an American mother, and was raised in both his father's home province of Saskatchewan and his mother's home state of Minnesota.
He moved to his mother's hometown of Brainerd, Minnesota in order to further his hockey opportunities.
He earned a Stanley Cup ring as a member of the Penguins (2017).
He was forced to sit out the entirety of the 2021-22 NHL season as he contracted myocarditis, in wake of his COVID-19 diagnosis.
