    He is extremely cocky.
    It was rumored he had an affair with teammate Scott Hartnell's wife.
    He allegedly refused to sign a pledge sheet in the Flyers locker room, which was rumored to be a key factor in the team's decision to trade him.
    He was traded a year before his long-term contract with a full no-trade clause kicked in.
    He, along with fellow teammate Mike Richards, was rumored to frequently spend their time on Philadelphia's nightclub scene.

    He was a member of two medal winning Canadian World Junior teams (2004, 2005).
    He, along with Richards and R. J. Umberger, was considered the cornerstone of the Flyers youth movement, following the lockout.
    He played the majority of the 2009 Stanley Cup playoffs on a separated shoulder.
    He was a member of the 2009-10 Flyers team that rallied from a 3-0 series deficit and reached the Stanley Cup Finals.
    He was born on Canada Day.
