Hockey Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He was overhyped as a junior prospect.
Many people remember him for being the second player drafted behind Eric Lindros.
His NHL career was viewed as being a huge bust.
Despite averaging 120-140 points a season in the junior ranks, his average point totals were between 20-40 at the NHL level.
The Flyers were so eager to get rid of him, that they acquired the enigmatic Alexandre Daigle in return.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was the first draft pick in the history of the San Jose Sharks.
He earned Memorial Cup MVP honors after guiding the Spokane Chiefs to the 1991 title.
He was a member of the Flyers team that reached the 1997 Stanley Cup Finals.
He proved he wasn't washed up when he signed a two way contract with the Oilers and spent the entire season with the team setting career highs in goals and games played.
When he failed to receive contract offers from NHL teams, he quietly announced his retirement.
