Why he might be annoying:

On ‘Rock Star: INXS,’ his egomaniacal behavior made him unpopular with fans and fellow contestants.
He constantly sucked up to INXS on the show.
He irritated the other contestants by asking to switch songs at the last minute.
He angered INXS by showing up to record a new song they wrote without having learned it.
He arranged a Caribbean-style version of Queen’s ‘We Are the Champions’ that was a complete disaster.
He dropped out of high school.
He joined the Canadian army, only to quit four months later.
He’s worked as an Elvis impersonator.
He wears a lot of stupid hats.

Why he might not be annoying:

‘Rock Star: INXS’ might have been unpopular, but he won it.
He arranged most of his own songs on the show.
Many of his arrangements were stylish and original.
He was motivated and aggressive in his approach to the contest.
Despite his rather weak voice, he was a high-energy performer.
He’s now the lead singer of a band that hasn’t had a hit song in over fifteen years (be careful what you wish for).
If ghosts exist, he’ll probably be haunted by the wrathful spirit of Michael Hutchence for taking his place.
