TV Series
    (January 23, 2003-February 7, 2018)
    Airs on the Discovery Channel
Tagline: They have one cause. Leave no urban legend untested
    Jaime Hyneman - Host
    Adam Savage - Host
    Toni Belleci - Builder
    Scottie Chapman - Builder
    Kari Byron - Builder
Jaime and Adam give the impression that they are scientists, when neither one of them have degrees in any field of science.
Adam will sometimes annoy Jaime by acting like a 10 year old child while setting up, or performing stunts.
Kari Byron is the only builder that gets significant air time, and many believe she gets it because she is considered the eye candy of the show.
    Kari is also a vegetarian.
They once entombed a pig carcass in concrete near their workshop to debunk a myth about decomposition, the carcass then proceeded to stink up the entire area as it rotted.
Put Jaime and Adam's last names together, and it sounds like, 'Savage Henieman.'
The show has been called, 'Jackass meets Bill Nye the Science Guy.'
Using the show as a reference, you can tell that obnoxious friend or co-worker that heard a story from, 'a friend of a friend of a cousin that knows someone,' to shut the hell up.
Both Jaime and Adam have an extensive resume' of movie special effects work.
They made a special episode during the Discovery Channel's Shark Week on myths and urban legends surrounding sharks and the movie, 'Jaws' (2005).
They get to play with explosives and heavy machinery on a regular basis.
They are very safe, always having an ambulance standing by when they perform stunts, as well as being assisted by law enforcement bomb squads when they use explosives.
On occasion, they will find that a myth or urban legend is actually plausible.
