    Birth name is Ralph Orlando Seybold
    Outfielder for the Cincinnati Reds (1899) and the Philadelphia Athletics (1901-1908)
    AL Home Run Champion (1902)
    Died in a car accident at age 51

Why he might be annoying:

    He gained 20 pounds prior to his Major League debut.
    He was not a good hitter in his first Major League season in Cincinnati, resulting him to be sent back to the minors.
    His batting performance was terrible in his only World Series appearance as he went 2-16 (1905).
    He injured his leg during a spring pre-season game (1908).
    Although he wanted to quit for a season, he went back to the Athletics for the rest of the 1908 season following a short hiatus and his batting productivity went into decline.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He recorded the first Philadelphia Athletics base hit.
    He recorded a 27 game hitting streak (1901).
    Connie Mack once called him 'the steadiest and most serviceable of players.'
    He was in all 5 games in the 1905 World Series.
    He held the AL season home run record with 16 for 17 years until Babe Ruth came along to break it with 19 in the 1919 season.
