Premise: A best-selling crime author and an NYPD detective team up to solve murders
    The titular character is divorced.
Initially, Beckett, who is an avid fan of Castle's novels, resented havinh him shadow her on her cases.
Castle is often viewed as bumbling, mischievous, and clumsy.
In fact, his daughter Alexis tends to be more mature than he is.
The series often depended on 'very special episodes.'
The show's high ratings were largely thanks to its 'Dancing with the Stars' lead-in.
The sexual, comedic tension between Castle and Beckett seems ridiculous, but funny.
Castle's experience in writing crime stories often helps Beckett solve the crimes.
Crime novelists such as Stephen J. Cannell and James Patterson made appearances on the series.
The series dedicated an episode to Cannell in the wake of his passing on September 30, 2010.
As a tie-in for the series, ABC released two novels 'authored' by the fictitious Castle.
It is more lighthearted in nature compared to 'Law and Order' and 'CSI.'
It successfully retained a good portion of the 'Dancing with the Stars' audience for several seasons.
