The Resume

    (April 26, 1925-March 21, 2015)
    Born in Copenhagen, Denmark
Birth name was Jørgen Ingmann Pedersen
    Jazz/pop guitarist
    Recorded the single 'Apache' (1961)
With his wife Grethe won the 1963 Eurovision Song Contest with 'Dansevise' ('Dance Melody')

Why he might be annoying:

His win at Eurovision was controversial because the Norwegian judges initially announced their votes in the wrong format; after the other countries had voted, they resubmitted their decision, but the results had changed. If Norway's first set of votes had been used, the winner would have been Esther Ofarim, representing Switzerland.
He was a one-hit wonder in the US.
He and Grethe got divorced (1975).
He suffered severe stage fright that eventually forced his retirement (1984).

Why he might not be annoying:

Inspired by Les Paul, he built a home studio where he could overdub multiple tracks.
He played all the instruments on 'Apache.'
His version of 'Apache' hit #2 on the US pop chart and #9 on the R&B chart.
That makes him the second-most successful Dane on the R&B charts, after harmonica player Lee Oskar of War.
