Why he might be annoying:

He claims that he is manic depressive.
While interviewing a British politician (Paddy Ashdown), he had him attacked by clowns.
He left Channel 4 after the network molded a career for him.
He created a political party called the Teddy Bear Alliance and pestered opposing parties to give him honey.
He was a fan of the TV show 'Dynasty.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He signed on to jump start the BBC3 Youth Channel.
A major feature on 'Trigger Happy TV' is people in animal costumes who beat each other up in public.
He felt that Channel 4 was becoming too commercialized for his programming.
While creating a show entitled '100 Things to Do Before You Die' for the BBC, Britain's Channel 5 ripped off the idea (that Joly pitched to them a year prior), with '99 Things to Do Before You're 30.'
He's not a fan of Damon Albarn and other arrogant political types.
He is left handed.
