Why she might be annoying:

Most of her screen appearances were in films directed by her husband, Veit Harlan.
She appeared in several Nazi propaganda films, most notoriously 'Jud Suss,' a film so antisemitic, it was made required viewing for the SS.
After WWII, she claimed she had been forced to make propaganda films, but she had actually campaigned to be cast in 'Jud Suss.'
Her characters committed suicide by drowning so often, she was dubbed Reichswasserleiche (the National Drowned Corpse).
'The Guardian' claimed that in interviews she came off as 'none too bright.'

Why she might not be annoying:

Her father Henrik was a prominent scientist who headed the committee that handed out the Nobel Prize for Chemistry.
She was one of the few leading ladies in Nazi Germany who did not sleep with Joseph Goebbels.
After Harlan's death (1964), she largely retired from films and started a second career as a fashion photographer.
'The Guardian' wrote that she avoided 'the agitated defensiveness' of Leni Riefenstahl.
