He became known mainly through his semi-regular appearances on The View to help plan Star Jones' overpriced wedding.
His involvement in the wedding fiasco rendered him so toxic to network viewers that it got him banished to the realm of cable TV.
He claimed that Donald Trump copied his designs for the Star Jones wedding for his own marriage to Melania - insisting they were 'exactly the same' (Trump designer Preston Bailey vehemently denies this).
He had a bitter divorce battle with first husband Ryan Jurica, in which Jurica alleged Tutera to be a sex addict and to have hired prostitutes.

Why he might not be annoying:

He had to put up with Star Jones.
He quit on Joan Rivers during her run on Celebrity Apprentice, calling her 'such a monster I can't even begin to describe.'
He was awarded Best Celebrity Wedding Planner by Life & Style Magazine.
He has done shows for Food Network and Discovery Channel.
His client list includes Zendaya, Elton John, Jennifer Lopez and Prince Charles.
