The Resume

    (April 4, 1994- )
    Born in Roanoke, Alabama
    Linebacker
    Attended the University of Alabama
Drafted in the first round by the San Francisco 49ers (2017)
    Released by the 49ers (November 24, 2018)
Claimed off waivers by the Washington Redskins (November 27, 2018)

Why he might be annoying:

He became a father at age fifteen.
He got a tattoo of Auburn’s logo to demonstrate his commitment to them, then signed with Alabama.
He was sent home from the 2017 NFL Scouting Combine without meeting any team representatives after getting into an argument with a student hospital worker during his medical exam.
During the combine, it was announced that he had failed his drug test because his urine sample had been diluted.
He was arrested in Alabama on marijuana possession charges (January 13, 2018).
He was arrested on domestic violence charges. (February 11, 2018).
While responding to the domestic violence call, police found an illegal assault rifle.
While he denied hitting his girlfriend, he admitted to breaking two of her phones.
He was suspended by the NFL for the first two games of the 2018 season for the drug and weapon charges.
He was arrested on domestic violence charges again (November 24, 2018).
When the Redskins picked him up, they were also looking for a quarterback but never contacted Colin Kaepernick, prompting plenty of commentators to note that Dan Snyder apparently considers kneeling during the national anthem to be a greater transgression than domestic violence.

Why he might not be annoying:

His father shot his mother in the back – while she was carrying 18-month-old Reuben in her arms.
He was named Defensive MVP of the Under Armour All-American Game, the all-star game of high school football (2013).
He received the Butkus Award for best college linebacker (2016).
He and fellow 49er Ray-Ray Armstrong outran two would-be muggers outside a San Francisco nightclub (October 16, 2017).
His girlfriend recanted the February, 2018, domestic violence allegations, testifying in court that she had made a false allegation to extort money from him: ‘I was lying about a lot of stuff. It was all a money scheme.’
This is the same girlfriend who pressed domestic violence charges in November, 2018.
