Why Chickenfoot might be annoying:

What kind of name is Chickenfoot?
Chad Smith rejoined the Red Hot Chili Peppers soon after their first album was released, putting them on hiatus.
Their music video for 'Oh Yeah' is basically a home video of them sitting around, goofing off and practicing their instruments.
Some of their songs have really cheesy lyrics (ex. 'I just want to be your hootchie-cootchie man/to get you in and out of my head).
Sammy Hagar had the balls to say that they could rival Led Zeppelin.

Why Chickenfoot might not be annoying:

It is comprised of members of Van Halen (Hagar and Anthony), Red Hot Chili Peppers (Smith), and Deep Purple (Satriani).
It gave Michael Anthony something to do after he was ousted from Van Halen.
Their first album quickly went gold.
Sammy Hagar contrasted them to Van Halen, saying 'It's ten times Van Halen, because it's functional - we all like each other.'
They have a 70's/80's hard rock sound while sounding modern at the same time.
