The Resume

    (September 26, 1918-October 28, 2016)
    Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Hosted horror movie shows, including 'Shock Theater' on WCAU in Philadelphia, 'Zacherley at Large' on WCBS in New York and 'Chiller Theatre' on WPIX in New York
Recorded the song 'Dinner with Drac' (1958)
Had cameos in the horror-comedy films 'Brain Damage' (1988) and 'Frankenhooker' (1990)

Why he might be annoying:

He sometimes spelled his last name 'Zacherley.'
Like Bobby 'Boris' Pickett, he became a one-hit wonder with a Halloween-themed novelty song.
He tried to steal Pickett's thunder by recording a cover of 'The Monster Mash.'
'Dinner with Drac' was banned in England for being too gory.

Why he might not be annoying:

Growing up, his parents would not let him watch horror movies.
He became a progressive rock DJ and introduced the Grateful Dead at the Fillmore East (he can be heard on their album 'Dick's Picks, Vol. 4').
Howard Stern was a fan growing up and helped him get a job at WXRK radio in New York (1992).
