The Resume

    (December 5, 1958-December 5, 2018)
    Birth name is Tom Billington
Wrestled for the WWE, NJPW, AJPW and Stampede Wrestling
Former WWE Tag Team Champion, NJPW/WWF Junior Heavyweight Champion, British Commonwealth Mid-Heavyweight Champion, British Welterweight Champion and European Welterweight Champion
One half of the tag team 'The British Bulldogs'
    Author of 'Pure Dynamite'

Why he might be annoying:

He heavily abused steroids, which, along with all the abuse he suffered while wrestling, took such a toll on his body that he retired at the age of 33 and was forced to use a wheelchair to move.
He had a nasty divorce that caused him major financial problems and he spent years living in seclusion.
He held the NJPW/WWF Junior Heavyweight Championship, a title that was owned by both companies, but the title was short-lived and rarely defended in the United States.
When AJPW (the rival promotion of NJPW) offered him a contract, he just dropped the title and signed with them.
His tag team, The British Bulldogs, had a real bulldog named Matilda, which walk to the ring with them.
The team was involved in an angle in the mid-80's where Matilda was kidnapped by Bobby Heenan and his tag team. The kidnapping resulted in a 'Get Well Matilda' letter campaign that resulted in the dog being more popular than The British Bulldogs.
Both Dynamite and Davey Boy left the WWF soon after the angle.
In his book, Mick Foley wrote about a tag team match he had with The British Bulldogs where Dynamite took offense to how Foley went toe-to-toe with them. He took liberties by beating the hell out of him to the point where the wrestlers watching backstage thought he was out of line.
He doesn't have many good relationships with those in the wrestling business and he even has such a disliking for his cousin, Davey Boy Smith, that he can't even bring himself to say his name.

Why he might not be annoying:

He revolutionized the sport with a stiff, hard bumping style that he combined with brilliant technical wrestling and a superb high flying arsenal that made him one of the best and most influential wrestlers of the 80's.
His style went on to became a major influence in the careers of stars such as Mick Foley, Owen Hart, Chris Jericho, Jushin Liger, Brian Pillman and Chris Benoit, who idolized him so much he used the name 'Dynamite' Chris Benoit in the beginning of his career.
He was such a skilled worker that his matches were appreciated anywhere all over the world.
Many name their match with Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake at WrestleMania 2 to be the best match on the card.
His feud with the original Tiger Mask produced some of the finest matches of the 80's and fans never got enough of the two of them squaring off.
His 1999 autobiography, 'Pure Dynamite,' received outstanding reviews from inside the wrestling world for its brutal honesty.
He was named Wrestler of the Year in WON in 1984.
He's a member of the Wrestling-Observer Hall of Fame.
