Why he might be annoying
Despite being touted as an heir successor to Manny Fernandez and Dwayne Roloson upon being drafted, he failed to take advantage of the opportunity.
He missed the entire 2010-11 season due to injuries.
He goes by the nickname 'Hards', which he paints on his masks.
He failed to inform the Wild about his multiple sclerosis diagnosis, it was made public after team doctors discovered it in a routine physical.
It took him five years after being drafted to make the Wild roster on a full time basis.
Why he might not be annoying
He was a standout goaltender with his hometown Regina Pats of the Western Hockey League.
He stopped 24 shots in his first game back after being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
He earned recognition by both teams in the Wild's first round playoff series against the Blackhawks as a result of his stellar play, despite being afflicted with M.S..
He had two notable designs on his masks during his time with the Wild, as he did a tribute mask to the victims of the Minneapolis bridge collapse in his rookie season and a breast cancer awareness mask in honor of his sister, who was diagnosed.
He is left handed.
