Why he might be annoying:

He has made victory guarantees throughout his career with some leading to defeat.
He has been repeatedly fined by the NFL for exorbitant touchdown celebrations.
Since high school, he puts gold teeth on prior to playing games.
He and teammate Peter Warrick were fined $5,000 each for a touchdown celebration after taking imaginary photos of each other (playing against Cleveland).
He was fined $5,000 for doing a throat slashing gesture after scoring a touchdown against Seattle.
After being fined for a touchdown celebration in 2003, he said: 'I'm not going to let the NFL rules steal my joy. I'm going to keep it simple, but I'm going to do something every week.'
He said in 2003: 'I set aside 50 grand before the season for league fines. I'm already to $35,000. It's ridiculous. If we wanted to be in the military, we would have joined.'
He is arrogant, requesting Bengal fans bring a dollar to the game to pay the fine he will incur when he celebrates touchdown victories against the Steelers on November 21st (November 17, 2004). However, in his nine previous games that season he only scored 2 touchdowns.
Although his team beat the Cowboys 26-3, he threw down his beverage and ripped at his chin strap on the sideline after an incompletion. Eventually, head coach Marvin Lewis scolded him (November 7, 2004).
Coach Marvin Lewis said of him: 'The only thing is, it's been a problem around here for a long time. It didn't just start yesterday. So we're going back and looking at history, trying to fix history a little bit.'
He sent the Cleveland Browns a bottle of Pepto-Bismol, so it would settle their stomach after he ran over them in the October 10, 2004 game. However he had a horrible game, just three catches for thirty-seven yards. His team was also embarrassed by the a huge lose.
He claims the NFL has fined him over $20,000 for uniform violations.
He was released by the Miami Dolphins one day after he allegedly headbutted his wife during an argument, resulting in his arrest for domestic violence (August 12, 2012).

Why he might not be annoying:

He signed a $25 million five year contraction.
He claims the Pepto was a good natured prank and should not have been made public.
He apologized for his display on November 7, 2004, saying: 'It might have been my bad for coming off that way. You won't see that again. I made a mistake.'
He apologized for his temper saying: 'I've got to be more patient.'
He was planning to get his teeth capped gold, but his grandmother was against it.
