Why he might be annoying:

He was married and divorced three times, with his first marriage to a showgirl breaking up in a year.
He tested nail polishes on his own nails.
When Revlon sponsored The $64,000 Question, he reportedly pressured the producers into rigging the show.
He was an overbearing perfectionist who alienated employees and family members.
An entrepreneur who sold his company to Revlon said, 'In negotiations with us, he couldn't have been more of a gentleman. As for working for him -- I think I'd rather clean streets.'
He told a Revlon executive, 'I built this business by being a bastard. I run it by being a bastard. I'll always be a bastard, and don't you ever try to change me.'

Why he might not be annoying:

He founded Revlon with $300 and built it into a multi-million dollar company in six years.
During the early days when there was no advertising budget, he would travel cross-country by rail to personally pitch Revlon products to beauty salons.
He introduced quality control well before it became standard in the cosmetics industry.
He founded the charitable Charles H. Revson Foundation to fund schools, hospitals and service organizations serving the Jewish community.
