    Birth name is Donald Arvid Nelson, Jr.
    General manager and president of basketball operations for the Dallas Mavericks

Why he might be annoying:

    What kind of a grown man goes by Donnie?
    He never played a game in the NBA.
    He's been criticized by basketball pundits for failing to develop his own draft picks.
    He acquired his first NBA job through nepotism, since he worked alongside his father.
    Some pundits mistakenly credit his father for the Mavericks turnaround from doormat to contender status, although he did the majority of the work behind the scenes.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He successfully turned the Mavericks from a doormat to perennial playoff contender during his tenure with the club.
    He broke ground by recruiting and signing the NBA's first international players from the Soviet Union (Sarunas Marciulionis) and China (Wang Zhizhi).
    He was the first NBA general manager to assemble a multi-national roster.
    He was the architect of the Mavericks team to win the franchise's first NBA Championship (2011).
    He is heavily involved with various initiatives to expand the game of basketball on a global level.
