When he was drafted by the Avalanche during the 2009 draft, he was seen pumping his fists into the air.
He hates flying on airplanes.
He said that he would like to be punched by Chuck Norris so that he could be in one of his eponymous jokes.

Why he might not be annoying:

Prior to entering the NHL, he played in the Ontario Hockey League.
He has been compared to Steve Yzerman and Joe Sakic.
He became the first 18-year-old NHL player to record back-to-back two goal games since Radek Dvorak in 1995.
In a game against Phoenix Coyotes, he scored his 100th career point surpassing Sakic to become the youngest player in franchise history to reach that milestone (January 26, 2011).
He plays the guitar.
