Catcher/3rd baseman for the Detroit Tigers (2001-12), Oakland Athletics (2012) and the Pittsburgh Pirates (2013)

He bears an uncanny resemblance to actor Mike White.
He spent his first three major league seasons on some horrendous Tiger teams.
He has tattoos on both his forearms.
He was unceremoniously released by the Tigers, despite being the longest-serving member on the team.
He admitted he didn't know how to use a computer, upon taking the volunteer coaching job at the University of Michigan.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a versatile player, who was willing to play any position in both the infield and outfield seamlessly.
He was a mainstay in the Tigers lineup, despite the fact he didn't win an individual award or possess star power.
He was a member of the Tigers team that made their first World Series appearance in 22 years (2006).
His hard-nosed style of play and genuine personality made him a fan favorite in Detroit.
He returned to baseball, when he was hired as a volunteer coach for the University of Michigan baseball team.
