Why he might be annoying:

    He made his major league debut at 28 years old.
    He was a journeyman player after leaving the Expos.
    He played on eight different teams in a span of seven years.
    He was relatively inconsistent as a starting pitcher.
    He left the Rockies after butting heads with team management over being given a roster spot on short notice.
    He often rotated between the starting rotation and the bullpen during the later stages of his career.

Why he might not be annoying:

    After playing close to ten years in the minors, he persevered and made the Expos on a tryout contract.
    He quickly established himself as a starter in a strong Expos rotation which included Ken Hill and Pedro Martinez during the mid 1990s.
    He was the Mariners Opening Day starter for two out of three seasons during his stint with the team.
    He was a fan favorite in Montreal.
