Why they might be annoying:

They were founded by two of the former band members of Sheriff.
Their single 'Should I See' was considered an anti-censorship song.
Phil X. wasn't considered an official member of the group after the release of their final album.
Their signature song 'Dream Come True' was mistakenly known as 'Love Of My Life' by casual music fans.
Some music detractors went as far as calling the group 'Sheriff II' as a result of Arnold and Wolf's ties to the previous group.

Why they might not be annoying:

They originally started as a duo, before becoming a five piece lineup.
They recorded five hit singles on the Canadian Top 40 charts between 1987 and 1991.
Derry Greehan from Honeymoon Suite was a guest musician on their first couple albums, prior to the additions of John Bouvette, Sammy de Bartel and Phil X to the lineup.
They were Phil's most notable group affiliation, prior to him replacing Richie Sambora in Bon Jovi.
Arnold and Wolf later joined Alias, following the group's disbanding.
