    He was almost in tears when he faced the media after his best friend and teammate Patrik Laine was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He is fluent in six different languages.
    His father, Heinz was drafted by the New York Rangers in the 1984 NHL Entry Draft, and was a star player in the European leagues.
    He was the highest drafted Danish born player in NHL history.
    He unselfishly stood in the way between an injured Jake Evans and a skirmish between his Jets teammates and Canadiens players, which prevented an unconscious Evans from sustaining further injury (June 3, 2021).
    His actions drew praise by hockey fans and pundits alike, as he prevented Evans from sustaining further injuries similar to Steve Moore in wake of the melee taking place nearby.
