Shortstop for the Chicago Cubs (1970), Houston Astros (1971-1978) and the San Francisco Giants (1978-1980)
Won a NL Gold Glove Award in Shortstop (1973)
Two time NL Triples Champion (1971, 1973)

He committed errors frequently during his time in Houston.
During the 1972 season, he was the NL leader in outs with 528.
His batting average went .074 in his attempted comeback with the Giants (1980).

He along with Joe Morgan were the first Astros to led the NL in triples.
He was the NL leader for shortstops in fielding percentage twice (1973, 1976).
He was the first Astro shortstop to win a Gold Glove.
He is in the Texas Baseball Hall of Fame.
