The Resume

    (July 12, 1975- )
    Born in Buffalo, New York
Birth name is Jeffrey Todd Glor
TV journalist and reporter for CBS
    Co-hosted The Early Show (2011-12)
    Anchor for CBS Evening News (December 4, 2017 - May 10, 2019)
Announced departure from CBS Evening News for replacement Norah O'Donnell (May 6, 2019)

Why he might be annoying:

He was criticized by his network peers for giving President Trump what they called a 'softball' interview.
The news of his being promoted to Anchor was greeted with relatively little fanfare.
Mediaite even joked about the non-reaction with the dry headline: 'Sign of the Times - CBS Names Jeff Glor Evening News Anchor… and Nobody Cares.'
He struggled to attract viewers during his brief Evening News tenure (ratings dropped nearly ten percent during his first six months).
He interviewed Ted Nugent shortly after he was investigated by the Secret Service. He allowed Nugent to yell 'I'll suck your dick' at him and 'I'll fuck you' to a female producer standing nearby (May 2012).

Why he might not be annoying:

He has dual degrees from Syracuse University, in economics and journalism.
He received praise during his run co-hosting 'The Early Show,' showing promise in the program's final morning team.
He won an Emmy as a correspondent for CBS Sunday Morning for the segment 'Paving the Way.'
His interview with Emmanuel Macron for the One Planet Summit was broadcast live from the Elysee Palace, a first for any network.
He is a huge Buffalo Bills fan, and he even interviewed Bills coach Marv Levy during an Early Show segment.
His exit was interpreted as a sign CBS was giving in to the clamour for 'celebrity journalists' over long-serving in-house talent.
He showed grace after the news broke of his replacement, saying on-air: 'I’d like to think we’re all guided by something bigger than one moment and one broadcast. I have always wanted to do work that matters and still do. That is something that will never change.'
