    Linked to bombing of the Offices of Prime Minister in downtown Oslo that killed eight people (July 22, 2011)
    Charged with 'destabilizing or destroying basic functions of society' and 'creating serious fear in the population' (July 25, 2011)

Why he might be annoying:

    He went on a brutal killing spree killing 76 and injuring 95 others.
    He wrote a 1,516 page manifesto called '2083' denouncing Islam and the prospect of a Muslim cultural 'takeover' of Europe.
    He also targeted Communism and other left-wing ideologies in his manifesto.
    He claimed that the European Union is a project to create 'Eurabia.'
    He described the 1999 NATO war in Kosovo as being authorized by 'criminal western European and American leaders.'
    He touted himself 'a real European hero,' 'the savior of Christianity' and 'the greatest defender of cultural-conservatism in Europe since 1950.'
    Despite claiming to be a Christian, he has not attended church since he was a teenager.
    A former colleague described him as having 'a big ego and would be easily irritated by those of Middle Eastern or South Asian origin.'
    In 2008, he allegedly attempted to buy illegal weapons in Prague.
    He is essentially Norway's version of Timothy McVeigh and Eric Robert Rudolph (lonely and disillusioned men who blame society for their their personal problems).

Why he might not be annoying:

    His father worked in the Royal Norwegian Embassy, and his mother was a nurse.
    His parents divorced when he was just one year old.
    A former co-worker has described him as an exceptional colleague.'
    He listed Winston Churchill as one of his inspirations.
