Why he might be annoying:

His 1985 Hoyas team was upset by Villanova in the NCAA Finals. That game has been called the biggest upset in college sports history.
As head coach of the Olympic team in 1988, he didn't win the gold medal with a loaded roster that had such players as David Robinson, Danny Manning, Mitch Richmond Dan Majerle and Stacey Augmon.
He frequently calls people a motherfucker.
He shocked the basketball world when he resigned abruptly.
He was combative and difficult with the media as a coach but now has his own show and is a color analyst for the NBA on TNT.
He coached with a white towel on his shoulder.

Why he might not be annoying:

He built the Georgetown basketball program from scratch.
He became the first African-American coach to win a major collegiate championship in 1984.
He pushed his players to get good grades and study.
He insisted his players went to class and suspended those who didn't.
He reached the championship game in 3 out of 4 years from 1982-85.
In 27 years, only 2 of his players did not graduate.
He earned a Masters Degree from UDC.
He has the winningest record in Big East conference history.
He stood up for what he believed in, and walked out of a game to protest Proposition 48, which he felt was culturally biased.
