Why Astrology might be annoying:

    It is nonsense.
There is zero scientific evidence that it works.
Like psychics, the predictions are not focused and offer a wide time frame, so they can be made to look accurate.
It believes that relative positions of celestial objects has a direct effect on human emotions.
Astrologers and its believers claim it can predict future events - it can not!
It labels those who do not believe as skeptics.
The bad traits of each sign is not as terrible as how great the good traits are.
Neither disaster or mass fortune discriminates for or against any sign.
The pull of the doctor/midwife outweighs by multitudes the gravitational pull of very distance star systems.
People with very opposite personalities share the same sign.
Like religion, when new celestial objects are found, astrology changes and incorporate them.
It is biased to the northern hemisphere.
Astrologers are inconsistent on the starting and ending date of zodiac signs.

Why Astrology might not be annoying:

They believe in cause and effect.
Astrological readings make for one of the more popular features in newspapers.
Almost all ancient cultures practice a form of Astrology.
Carl Sagan attempted to explain why it may work. He correlates month of birth with seasonal climate and thus aging stages are effected by different weather environments.
It relies on and uses accurate astronomical data.
It tries to appear as a true science by using mathematical formulas.
Much of astrological personality traits is based on ancient mythology.
The etymology of the word 'disaster' is latin for 'bad star.'
It uses math/science terminology to sound more authentic with terms like natal chart, houses, rising, aspects, Conjunction, Opposition, Square, Trine, Sextile, Semi-Square, Sesqisquare and Quincunx.
Unlike psychics; astrologers can do their own personal charts and benefit from their craft.
Each zodiac sign is compatible with 4 other signs but only incompatible with 1.
It is a good opening blind date question - 'What sign are you?'
