Why he might be annoying:

He has done little in golf since his 2001 British Open.
He is a fitness freak, so much that he injured his back.
He was expected to challenge Tiger Woods for #1 in the world, but has not been successful in doing so.
He does infomercials for the Momentous Golf Trainer.
He has done commercials for AT&T.
He seems cold and calculating and wears sunglasses to prevent showing emotion.
He plays with a pinch of tobacco in his mouth.

Why he might not be annoying:

He overcame Vertigo.
He shot one of only 3 59's ever on the PGA tour.
He was #1 in the world for a short time overtaking Tiger Woods in 1999.
His father, Bob Duval, is a successful player on the Champions Tour.
His brother died of a blood disorder, despite going through a painful bone marrow transplant to try and save him.
He will sign autographs to anyone who asks.
He graduated from Georgia Tech.
