The Resume

    (November 7, 1964- )
    Birth Name is Noah Schiavone
    Play-by-play & backstage interviewer- NWA (1983-1989), WWE (1989), WCW (1990-2001), NWA TNA (2003)
    Produced WCW Monday Nitro
Acted in Ready to Rumble (2000)

Why he might be annoying:

He was removed from the WCW booking committee following a dispute with Terry Taylor.
He was voted as the worst wrestling announcer for the third year in succession by Wrestling Report Live.
Instead of providing entertaining commentary like the late Gorilla Monsoon, Tony came off as irritable & constantly prevented his broadcast partner, Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan, from portraying his character (a comical heel commentator).
He would often shill whatever WCW was promoting instead of letting the fans know what is going on in the ring.
Every other week Tony would claim that it is 'the greatest night in the history of our sport!!!'
According to Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan, Tony knew that WCW was going under, but didn't tell anybody who were suppose to be his 'friends.'
He would often put his head down during the commercials of WCW Monday Nitro & according to Heenan, he hated the fans.
Mike Tenay of NWA TNA claims that Tony was all about politics and not performance.
He would kiss the ass of whoever was in charge of WCW at a given time (Eric Bischoff, Vince Russo, Kevin Nash, etc).
Heenan also claims that Tony was known for the 'Schiavone Left,' meaning if he saw you walking down the hallway, he'd cut a left to avoid conversation.
Under the orders of former WCW President Eric Bischoff, Tony would give away the results to WWE Raw's taped matches on their live WCW Monday Nitro broadcasts.
During Nitro, he announced that Mick Foley was going to win the WWE title, and said 'That'll put a lot of asses in the seats.' After he said that more than half of Nitro's audience switched of to RAW to watch Foley win the title (1999).

Why he might not be annoying:

People associate Tony Schiavone with the 'good old days' of NWA World Championship Wrestling.
Between formatting, editing, office work, voice overs and live events, Tony was a workaholic during his time with WCW. Even though he had Saturdays and Sundays off, he was on call, just incase something went wrong with a TV show. He did a lot of overnight work. If a wrestler got injured, left, or the cards changed, he would have to redo everything the next day.
He always spoke loud, clear, and with excitement when calling matches, thus making them exciting for fans to watch.
