    He said he realized he was gay at five-years old when he inherited toys from his sister and became fixated on the Ken doll’s smooth crotch.
    He became the first fully Asian cast member of 'SNL' (Fred Armisen is one-fourth Korean and Rob Schneider is part Indonesian).
    Upon accidentally finding out he was gay, his parents sent him to conversion therapy but eventually accepted his sexuality.
    News of his casting trended on social media.
    He was hired alongside Shane Gillis, who was quickly fired for making racist comments directed at Chinese people and mocking the Chinese accent in a past podcast.
    His mother is an OB-GYN.
    As a child, also lived in Montreal and Denver.
    He has a degree in microbiology from New York University.
    Also an 'SNL' writer, he co-wrote a well-received gay porn parody skit for the show which initially got rejected by Lorne Michaels; Emma Stone, who appeared in the filmed skit and was hosting that episode of 'SNL' successfully pushed for its airing.
