    Chris Berman often addressed him as Oddibe 'to be young again' on his shows.
    He wore #0 during his first stint with the Rangers, largely in part to his first name starting with an O.
    He was out of the majors for three seasons, before making a comeback with the Rangers during the 1994 season.

    He was a standout player during his college career at Arizona State University.
    He was a member of the United States baseball team that won a silver medal in the 1984 Summer Olympics.
