When she said something mean to her older sister (at age eight), she was sent to her room — and promptly began the path to songwriting!
She said: ‘I haven't stopped writing songs or getting into trouble since.'
She entered herself into a talent show at age nine without her parents' knowledge — at a club!
After her ‘Most Talented Kid' victory, she drew comparisons to Avril Lavigne.

Why she might not be annoying:

She received her first guitar at age seven.
Her official website shows live images of her moving around with her guitar in various manners (one being a backside shot).
She keeps a Web video diary.
She churned out some 200 songs by age 12.
Her mother has become the most important figure in her life, especially on the road.
