Why 21 Jump Street might be annoying
As the show went on, it became harder for the cast to convincingly pass as high school students.
Many of the issue-oriented episodes were followed by public service announcements featuring the cast members.
Robinson's character, Judy Hoffs, had three different middle names over the course of the series.
Depp only signed a long-term contract because he thought the show would not last more than one season.
Depp made increasingly ridiculous suggestions for his character, such as having Hanson being obsessed with peanut butter and the other detectives discovering him smearing it on his naked body.
When Depp and Nguyen left the series, their characters disappeared without any explanations.
Why 21 Jump Street might not be annoying
It was one of the first breakout hits for Fox.
It was based on a real-life undercover unit in Los Angeles.
Robinson sang the theme song (with Depp and DeLuise contributing shouts of 'Jump!' for the background vocals.)
Jonah Hill was reported to be writing and producing a big-screen version (2009).
It was the Mod Squad of the 80s.
