He left the Yankees a year before the team won their first World Series title since 1978.
He struck out with a career high of 134.
He played for two teams that were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs.

He made a cameo appearance in a 'Saturday Night Live' sketch as one of the baseball players who came out of a boy's closet.
During his time in Seattle, he had three straight 20-home run seasons (1997-1999).
He was the first ever MLB player and the first ever Mariner to hit a home run in Safeco Field history (July 17, 1999).
