Politician

The Resume

    (September 18, 1973- )
    Born in Lowell, Massachusetts
    Republican
Political operative, campaign manager, former lobbyist
Served as the Northeast legislative political director for the RNC (2001)
Director of public affairs for Schwartz MSL (2004-12)
Lobbyist for Americans for Prosperity (2008-15)
    Led AFP’s national voter-registration effort for 11 months (2014-15)
Manager of Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign
Accused of assault and battery after allegedly bruising Breitbart News reporter, Michelle Fields, whom he yanked out of the way during a campaign event in Jupiter, Florida (March 8, 2016)
Resulted in widespread calls for his firing from Ted Cruz, John Kasich, Megyn Kelly, and Ben Shapiro
Turned himself in after being charged with simple battery by the Jupiter Police Department (March 19, 2016)

Why he might be annoying:

He unsuccessfully ran for Massachusetts state representative, while in college.
He managed Senator Robert C. Smith’s losing reelection campaign (2002).
He generated controversy after suggesting that Lewis’ opponent, John Sununu, could potentially be ‘divided over terrorism’ due to his being of Lebanese descent.
He ran for town treasurer of Windham, New Hampshire, in 2012, but lost.
He was chief of staff to Rep. Bob Ney (R-Ohio) who pleaded guilty to federal corruption charges in 2007.
He banked close to a quarter of a million dollars, annually, to manage Donald Trump’s Presidential campaign.
He went on record comparing Trump to American Pharaoh. He also coined the line ‘let Trump be Trump,’ which is apparently on a whiteboard in his office.
He was charged with a misdemeanor after an unloaded gun was found in the bottom of a laundry bag he brought into the US Capitol building (Sept. 2015).
He filed a lawsuit to get the gun back, citing denial of due process, but it was thrown out by the judge.
He drew criticisms for grabbing an uncooperative protester by the collar and attempting to forcibly remove him during a campaign event in Tucson, Arizona (March 19, 2016).
Those who worked with him in Ney's office described him as abrasive and off-putting, with some sources claimed that he would 'scream at the ethics committee staffers who were investigating Ney for corruption.'
Politico reported that some 20 sources within the Trump campaign accused Lewandowski 'of bullying and other inappropriate behavior.'
Some campaign staffers have observed that he behaves 'more like a security guard' for Trump than a 'campaign operative.' He allegedly engaged in a power struggle with long-time campaign insider, Roger Stone, prompting the veteran operative to resign (and to start whoring himself out to conspiracy theorists like Alex Jones).

Why he might not be annoying:

He met his wife when he was in the ninth grade.
The two were married four years after his best friend, and her first husband, died during the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
He graduated from the New Hampshire police academy in 2008.
He worked from 2006 to 2010 as a seasonal marine patrol officer trainee with the State Police.
More than any single operative, he may be the most responsible for the takeoff of Donald Trump’s Presidential campaign. (Although some might argue this should be in the 'Why he might be annoying' section.)
Much of his success as Trump’s campaign manager has been attributed to his hands-off approach with Trump, saying: ‘you have to let him do his thing. Let him run his race.’ (Although Trump has said ‘he leaves me alone, but he knows when to make his presence felt’)
Trump acknowledged Lewandowski’s role in his New Hampshire Primary win by praising his ground game. Not bad for a guy who couldn’t even get elected to local Treasurer!
As footage from the confrontation with Michelle Fields became more available, it became clear that she had, at the very least, exaggerated her assault claims.
The interaction, based on available video, appeared to be so minor that some viewers had difficulty distinguishing Fields and Lewandowski in the crowd, let alone that anything had happened between the two.
An anonymous Secret Service agent claimed that Lewandowski was made to intervene after Fields had been warned she that she was too close to Trump and had penetrated their security barrier - she had continued to follow Trump and engage in physical contact regardless until being forcibly removed.
