    Appeared in the films ‘Goliath and the Dragon’ (1960), ‘Son of Samson’ (1960), ‘Mole Men Against the Son of Hercules’ (1961), ‘Goliath and the Sins of Babylon’ (1963), ‘Hercules Against the Mongols’ (1963), ‘Hercules Against the Barbarians’ (1964), ‘Hercules Against the Sons of the Sun’ (1964), and ‘The Terror of Rome Against the Son of Hercules’ (1964)

Why he might be annoying:

    He auditioned unsuccessfully for a Hollywood Tarzan movie before finding success in Italian-made sword-and-sandals films.
    His movie career was based on his physique rather than his acting talents.
    When his films were released in the US, his voice was dubbed by Jackson Beck (the voice of Bluto in ‘Popeye’ cartoons).

    He ran his own gym on Long Island.
    He was a member of Mae West’s troupe of musclemen in her Vegas act.
    He used the money from his films to train as a classical singer, launching an opera career in Europe.
