Isn't MacFarlane's inane 'Family Guy' enough for FOX?
It is essentially Family Ties except the father is conservative and the daughter liberal (not to mention waaay more wacky storylines).
Stan is everything that you'd expect from the Radical Right.
Even though Stan is conservative, he was once arrested for child pornography.
Francine stabbed a college roommate. She casually admits this during family dinners.
Stan and Hayley's political vies often clash with one another creating havoc on the family.
Like 'Family Guy,' they make fun of stereotypes (especially political ones).
Although very intellegent, Steve is socially inept and is emotionally unstable.

At least this family is somewhat more intelligent compared to the Griffins.
Unlike its mother series, the show does not contain cutaway gags.
If you are into political satire, this is the prefect show for you.
The series has occasionally crossed over to 'Family Guy' and 'The Cleveland Show.'
It debuted after a post-Super Bowl episode of the 'The Simpsons.'
Its running gag during the opening segment in the first three seasons featured Stan holding a newspaper mocking current events.
