    The Black Panthers shared copyright in her very biased documentary about them.
    She had a affair (and a child) with one of the leads from 'Cleo From 5 to 7.'

    She was the only notable female director of the French New Wave film movement.
    Her films are known for their lush visuals.
    Her father's relatives were Greek refugees.
    She is a first rate photographer as well as director.
    She was married to fellow New Wave filmmaker Jacques Demy for 28 years until his death.
    She was one of only five to attend Jim Morrison's funeral.
