His nickname, 'Reef,' sounds like a marijuana reference.
He made himself eligible for the NBA Draft after his freshman year.
He often complained about Vancouver's climate.
When hearing about the franchise's relocation to Memphis, he snubbed the fans and went to India.
He was part of the trade that sent Rasheed Wallace to the Hawks for two games.
He was one of the Grizzlies former franchise players which was dealt after the 2000-01 season that led to the rights to Pau Gasol.
He was taken behind Allen Iverson and Marcus Camby in the NBA draft.
