The Resume

    (1937- )
    Root for their NFC team
Often dress or paint themselves in the team colors of Burgundy, Gold and White
    Distracted by team cheerleaders
They don't have an official mascot, but cheer on unofficial mascot Chief Zee

Why they might be annoying:

The signature fans are the 'Hogettes.' These fans are beefy guys who wear dresses and pig snouts to games. The team nickname 'Hogs' came in the 1980's and referred to the team's offensive line.
In 2000, the team charged admission to fans who wanted to watch team practice during training camp (this is usually a free). Some fans actually paid to watch.
Many season ticket holders are politicians who are elected to public office.
In Week 2 of the 2002 season, police had to use pepper spray to break up a fight in the stands during a blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. The field was briefly cleared because of the incident.
Some fans smuggle live hogs into the game.
Native Americans find their team name offensive, while NFL teams find they have one of the best offensive lines in the game.
Fan Zema Williams dresses up as the unofficial mascot Chief Zee since 1978. He was given a Chief Zee Day in Washington, DC (November 7, 1985). He was inducted in Visa's Hall of Fans.
After Chief Zee taunted fans at a Philadelphia Eagle game at Philadelphia's Veterans stadium, the fans beat him badly enough to break his legs and strip him to his underwear (1983).
In an effort to apologize, the Eagles invited him back the following year when he was accosted by an elderly female fan who threw a drink in his face and said 'You've got a lot of nerve coming up here! We mugged the guy who dressed like that last year! (1984).'
They averaged 8,000 no shows per game (September 1998).

Why they might not be annoying:

They sing their anthem 'Hail to the Redskins' after TD's.
In October 2002, they still attended games while there were fears in the community of being shot by a sniper.
Mike Torbet, the 'boss Hogette,' was inducted in the Visa Hall of Fans.
The Hogettes appeared in a Visa commercial.
Win, lose or tie, they are among to most loyal in the NFL.
