Why she might be annoying:

She was the daughter of the alcoholic bum, John Barrymore.
    She wrote an autobiography.
She married three times and divorced twice.
She married Bramwell Fletcher, who was 18 years older than her.
She married John R. Howard, who was 2 years younger than her.
She stayed married to him for only 6 months and it took her three years to divorce him.
She lived in her father's shadow.
    She attended boarding school.
She said 'Damn mother for her indifference and disdain of me, and damn daddy for the crazy, mixed-up life he led.'
She was put on six-month-suspension from Universal, for refusing to make a film with Abbott and Costello.
Her career went downhill before she turned 23.
She and her husband, John R. Howard, were arrested for drunk driving.
Her own TV show, 'The Diana Barrymore Show,' was cancelled before it even aired.
She had a serious drinking problem.
She cheated on her third husband for Tom Farrell.
When Tom caught her having a drink with 'an old friend,' he assaulted her in a jealous rage.
    She committed suicide.

Why she might not be annoying:

Her parents ignored her and she saw little of them because they did so much traveling.
Fed up with her parents' ignorance, she attended a dance wearing a 'lurid red satin dress with a plunging neckline and hardly any back,' and caused a sensation.
When she was thirteen, her father took her and an older schoolmate to dinner and a movie, got drunk and hit on her schoolmate.
Despite having had a very short film career, by 1943, she worked for a salary of $2,000.000.
Universal Studios called her '1942's Most Sensational new screen personality.'
She was a talented actress whose acting ability was wasted on commercialism over her last name.
Lana Turner's Georgia Lorrison in 'The Bad and the Beautiful (1952),' is said to have been based on her.
