Infomercial Personality

The Resume

    (March 3, 1961- )
    Born in United States
Pitchman for Flex Seal, Flex Tape and other associated rubber-based adhesive/sealant products
Co-founder and CEO of marketing company Swift Response LLC with his brother Alan Swift

Why he might be annoying:

He seems to want to be the next Billy Mays.
He is over-enthusiastic about pitching his products in the commercials.
    He has a big nose.
To demonstrate his sealing products, he tears apart objects (boats in particular) in rather over-the-top ways, before repairing them with the advertised product.
Flex Seal and Flex Tape are overpriced and not always reliable, according to online customer reviews of the products.
Not only are his commercials cheesy enough on their own, they've also become easy fodder for 'YouTube Poops' (humorous and/or vulgar re-edits of video footage).

Why he might not be annoying:

He's been in the marketing business since 1980.
    He can play guitar.
    He's a fan of 1970's classic rock.
He shows a lot of energy and charisma as a pitchman for his products.
His Flex Tape is a NASCAR sponsor, and was once used to help repair Garrett Smithley's car during a race (2017).
While remaining mostly silent/neutral about his own political views (whereas many other entrepreneurs have been heavily vocal about their far-right/pro-Trump ideologies), he advised people to wear protective masks during the 2020-21 COVID pandemic and condemned the January 6, 2021 far-right insurrection in Washington, D.C.
