    He referred to atheists as infidels during a holiday greeting on television.
    He has a strong dislike for Halloween, going as far as saying the holiday is bad for the integrity of children.
    He was accused by opposing politicians during the 2016 Manitoba election of spending a great deal of time at his vacation property in Costa Rica.
    When he got called out in a debate in regards to his absence during the Manitoba floods, he said he was in Alberta attending a wedding, when it was later revealed he was actually in Costa Rica at the time of the floods.
    He made an inappropriate remark when asked about his future in federal politics, which many women felt it made him come off as chauvinistic.
