He is a nomad in the professional head coaching ranks.
His tenure as an NFL head coach was overshadowed by the fact he coached two prima donna quarterbacks.
His tenure in Atlanta was best remembered for a heated sideline spat with Jeff George on national television.
His tenure at the University of Hawaii was mixed as he was unpopular amongst fans and students alike for eliminating many of the school's customary traditions during his tenure at the helm.
He missed the spring season after he sustained serious injuries in a car crash (2001).
He served as the fifth head coach at Southern Methodist following the football team's 'death penalty' punishment.
He sparked a major controversy on both sides of the border, after he offered Art Briles a position on the Tiger-Cats coaching staff (2017).
