    Some pundits mistakenly forget his surname is hyphenated.
    His nickname is 'The Haitian Sensation.'
    He initially had no desire to play football, preferring to play basketball but switched over following an injury.
    After sacking Robert Griffin III, he mimicked the dance moves from 'Gangnam Style.'

    He is a first generation American born to Haitian immigrants.
    He worked at Boston Market in high school to help pay his family's bills after his father was deemed legally blind.
    In order to accommodate his schooling, football practice and work shifts, he would often pull 16-18 hour days.
    He stepped up his game and became a key cog in the Giants defense after mainstays Osi Umenyiora and Justin Tuck went down with injuries.
    He earned a Super Bowl ring in his first season as a starter on the defensive line (2011).
    He takes pride in his tenure working at the Boston Market in his hometown of Deerfield Park, citing it shaped him as a person.
